This Thursday, the Tacony CDC Staff and Board of Trustees gathered to celebrate the work of two long-standing Board Members who have transitioned from the active Board to Emeritus status–Lou and Joe! We’re also excited to announce some restructuring to the Tacony CDC Board!
Louis A. Iatorola was a founding member of the CDC, along with Peter Nacaratto, way back in 2000. Lou served as the previous Board Vice President. Joseph A. Sannutti joined the Board in 2014, and most recently served as Board Secretary. Both have dedicated decades to the revitalization of the Tacony neighborhood through their work on the CDC board, and other organizations such as the Historical Society of Tacony and the Tacony Civic Association. At the dinner on Thursday, we celebrated their work and presented them with our thanks.
Last week, the Board also celebrated new positions. After 12 years of service as Board President, Georgeanne Huff Labovitz has passed the torch to our new President, Ashley de Vries. Georgeanne will continue to serve on the board as Vice President. Scott DeGirolamo has taken on the role of Secretary, and Nicole Costello will continue her role as Treasurer. Please join us in welcoming our Board members to their new positions. We look forward to the great work they’ll do!
